Le vol, d\u00e9j\u00e0 retard\u00e9 d&rsquo;une heure, a embarqu\u00e9 les passagers vers 15h15. Leur attente sur le tarmac allait s&rsquo;\u00e9tirer pendant des heures.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab On est rest\u00e9 coinc\u00e9s dans cet avion pendant plus de trois heures \u00bb, m&rsquo;a confi\u00e9 Laporte lors de notre conversation dans un caf\u00e9 tranquille d&rsquo;Ottawa. Ses yeux refl\u00e9taient encore la frustration de l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience. <strong>\u00ab Pas de nourriture, communication m\u00e9diocre, et une anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 grandissante \u00e0 mesure que les minutes devenaient des heures. \u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Selon Laporte, apr\u00e8s la longue attente sur le tarmac, les passagers ont finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9barqu\u00e9s vers 19h00, mais sont rest\u00e9s dans les limbes \u00e0 l&rsquo;a\u00e9roport jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e8s de minuit. Le plus troublant \u00e9tait les t\u00e9moignages de plusieurs passagers indiquant que les repr\u00e9sentants de Porter avaient effectivement disparu, les laissant sans orientation claire ni soutien ad\u00e9quat.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aeroportdequebec.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">A\u00e9roport international Jean-Lesage de Qu\u00e9bec<\/a> a confirm\u00e9 un volume inhabituellement \u00e9lev\u00e9 de vols retard\u00e9s ce jour-l\u00e0, les conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques \u00e0 Toronto \u00e9tant cit\u00e9es comme la cause principale. Les donn\u00e9es d&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/fr\/environnement-changement-climatique.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Environnement Canada<\/a> montrent des pr\u00e9cipitations mod\u00e9r\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;a\u00e9roport international Pearson de Toronto durant les heures de l&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Les probl\u00e8mes m\u00e9t\u00e9o, \u00e7a arrive, ce n&rsquo;est pas ce qui nous a contrari\u00e9s \u00bb, a expliqu\u00e9 Sarah Tremblay, une autre passag\u00e8re qui voyageait avec sa m\u00e8re \u00e2g\u00e9e. <strong>\u00ab C&rsquo;\u00e9tait d&rsquo;\u00eatre pris en otage dans un avion, puis abandonn\u00e9s \u00e0 la porte d&#8217;embarquement avec des informations contradictoires venant des rares membres du personnel qui daignaient nous parler. \u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les responsabilit\u00e9s de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flyporter.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Porter Airlines<\/a> concernant les droits des passagers dans de telles situations sont clairement d\u00e9finies par le R\u00e8glement sur la protection des passagers a\u00e9riens. Ces r\u00e8glements stipulent que pour les retards d\u00e9passant trois heures, les compagnies a\u00e9riennes doivent fournir de la nourriture, des boissons et des communications ad\u00e9quates. Si les retards s&rsquo;\u00e9tendent pendant la nuit, des arrangements d&rsquo;h\u00e9bergement deviennent obligatoires.<\/p>\n<p>Contact\u00e9 pour commentaire, le porte-parole de Porter Airlines, Kevin Jackson, a reconnu la situation dans une d\u00e9claration \u00e9crite : <strong>\u00ab Nous pr\u00e9sentons nos sinc\u00e8res excuses \u00e0 tous les passagers touch\u00e9s par ce retard important.
